Why call them Life Groups?
Because we "do life" together.
We all need a group of people who love us enough to celebrate with us, cry with us, call us on our stuff, and enjoy "doing life" with us on this crazy journey.
There are tons of things that provide a superficial place to CONNECT like sports, hobbies, music, monkey festivals...well, you get the point right?
While these things aren't bad, they don't provide the REAL CONNECTIONS we all need.
It is great to be a part of something big and exciting! But at Gracepointe Student Ministries, we realize how hard it can be to get CONNECTED in a large group like at The Pointe. This is one of the reasons that we created Life Groups.
REAL CONNECTIONS with other Christians are totally essential for your spiritual growth!
Life Groups are the backbone of GSM because they are where REAL CONNECTIONS and relationships happen. In a Life Group, you will be known, cared for, challenged to grow, and supported as you journey through this thing called life. It is our dream that every student who attends The Pointe would get plugged into a Life Group.
In a Life Group you will develop friendships with other students who are your age and who want to deepen their spiritual lives. You will be guided by a youth leader who acts as a "Journey Coach". They will care about you, support you and challenge you in your spiritual journey.
So sign up for a Life Group and "do life" with peeps who will have your back.
You will never be the same.
